Inclusion Criteria:
Aged 18 to 60 years; BMI >/= 25 kg/m2; intention to lose weight through a behavior change program; web access.
Exclusion Criteria:
Pregnancy; participation in any other weight loss program, or presence of conditions that demand specific dietary or physical activity recommendations, such as diabetes, heart failure, coronary artery disease, kidney disease, hepatic disease, cancer, phenylketonuria, celiac disease, food allergies, and bariatric surgery history.
Research Purpose:
We aimed to investigate the impact of a personalized digital health behavior change intervention delivered exclusively via the web with and without online dietitian; coaching on weight loss and on dietary and physical activity habits of people with overweight and obesity in the community compared with a minimal nonpersonalized intervention via the web.
