In overweight/obese adults (aged 19+ years), what is the effect of consuming single serving portion sized meals on weight loss?

Conclusion
Several short-term studies reported that consumption of one or more single serving portion sized meals per day as part of a weight management program resulted in weight losses ranging from approximately 3.4 to 10.3 kg for eight weeks to six months in overweight/obese adults (aged 19+ years and ethnically diverse), depending on the level of caloric restriction. In addition, long-term studies reported weight losses up to approximately 10.1 kg with consumption of one or more single serving portion sized meals per day as part of a weight management program for 12-18 months.
