Inclusion Criteria:
Participants were malnourished (subjective global assessment B or C)older adults (?>/=65 years of age) hospitalized with chronic heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, pneumonia, or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
Exclusion Criteria:
Diabetes (Type 1 or 2); current active or treated cancer; impaired renal or liver function
Research Purpose:
To comprehensively assess the effect of ONS on overall nutrient intake, this analysis examines supplementation of a high-protein specialized oral nutrition supplement (S-ONS)on macronutrient and micronutrient intake for 90 days after hospital discharge.
