Inclusion Criteria:
RCT; effect of vegan diet on blood pressure; adults aged >/= 18 years old; compared to less restrictive diet; intervention >/= 3 weeks duration; co-interventions applied uniformly to all groups; studies had to have baseline characteristics, baseline and postintervention systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Exclusion Criteria:
Cross-sectional trials; intervention studies without randomization; observational studies; case reports; trials with these outcomes: blood lipids, glycemic outcomes, body mass index, waist circumference; trials that did not report pre- and postintervention blood pressure measurements
