Inclusion Criteria:
Inclusion criteria were as follows: age over 40 years, diagnosis of hypertension, and use of antihypertensive drugs for at least 3 months prior to the study.
Exclusion Criteria:
Diabetic patients, patients with a previous diagnosis of cardiovascular disease (e.g., ischemic heart disease, heart failure, coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease or stroke), or with physical disabilities, or involved in regular physical activity programs were not included. Changes in antihypertensive drug type or dose were exclusion criteria.
Research Purpose:
To investigate the efficacy of a behavior change program named Vida Ativa Melhorando a Saúde on cardiovascular parameters in hypertensive patients.
