Inclusion Criteria:
Aged 25-75 years, with a body mass index between 28 and 40 kg/m2
Exclusion Criteria:
History of diabetes, pregnancy or lactation, recent or current smoking, alcohol or drug abuse, and current use of a vegan diet.
Research Purpose:
The aim of this study was to assess the effects of a low-fat plant-based diet on dietary AGEs and test the association with body weight, body composition, and insulin sensitivity.
Blinding efforts:
Participants were not blinded to their group assignment. The outcome assessors were blinded to group assignment. The statisticians were blinded to the interventions and group assignment.
