In adults with overweight or obesity, what is the effect of Mediterranean diet intake compared to usual or other therapeutic diet intake on weight, blood lipids and cholesterol?

Conclusion
In adults with overweight and obesity, Mediterranean diet intake may reduce weight, LDL cholesterol, and systolic blood pressure compared to usual diet intake. Mediterranean diet intake may not affect HDL cholesterol, diastolic blood pressure, or CRP compared to usual diet intake.
