Inclusion Criteria:
Unintentional weight loss of at least 5% and/or BMI of 20 or less; low physical activity level (grade 3 on a 6 point scale of physical activity); written informed consent.
Exclusion Criteria:
Age under 75 years; BMI > 30; non-walkers; people with recent cardiac problems requiring hospital care; recent hip fracture or surgery during the last 6 months; present cancer treatment; stroke within the last 2 years; score of less than 7 on the short form Mini Mental State Examination; institutionalization.
Research Purpose:
To describe the impact of a physical and nutritional intervention program for frail community-dwelling elderly people over the age of 75.
