Inclusion Criteria:
Outpatients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension were recruited. Patients were selected if they had uncontrolled BP, defined as office BP >/=140/90 mm Hg and daytime ABPM >/=135/85 mm Hg, BMI
Exclusion Criteria:
Exclusion criteria were night shift work, physical disability that prevents patients from walking, presence of secondary causes of hypertension, or severe elevations in BP (>180/120 mm Hg).
Research Purpose:
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of the DASH diet associated with increased walking on ambulatory BP monitoring in patients with type 2 diabetes and uncontrolled hypertension.
