Inclusion Criteria:
Aged 60 years and over, obese defined as body mass index greater than or equal to 28 kg/m2, using the Chinese BMI classification standard developed by the WGOC, local permanent resident.
Exclusion Criteria:
Cognitive defects, severe psychological disorders or mental illness that could affect adherence to the study, cancer, recent cardiovascular disease and other severe chronic diseases that could seriously reduce the ability to participate in the study, participating in or had participated in other trials within the past 30 days.
Research Purpose:
To assess the effect of community based lifestyle interventions on weight loss and cardiometabolic risk factor reduction in obese older adults and to explore the factors that may be barriers to weight loss during lifestyle interventions.
