Measurement of Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) in the Critically Ill Guideline Algorithm
The Measuring Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) in the Critically Ill Algorithm identifies where the RMR measurement recommendations for critical illness align with the four steps of the Nutrition Care Process (Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, Nutrition Intervention and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation).
All of the RMR measurement recommendations for critical illness are found under the step of Nutrition Assessment and therefore highlighted in the Measuring RMR in the Critically Ill Nutrition Assessment Algorithm. The Critical Illness Algorithms are also linked to this algorithm in order to see additional critical illness recommendations and the flow of care throughout the Nutrition Care Process for those that are critically ill.
